Not your typical fall shot

Post by yorksman »

99% of the people out taking pictures this time of year are capturing beautiful scenes with glowing aspens; not this photographer! Friday morning I was high up on Scarp Ridge outside of Crested Butte photographing the winter scenes unfolding around me. With the howling wind and blowing snow the temperature's were easliy in the single digits, well worth me freezing my butt off waiting for the light to arrive for an hour. ©2014 Jody Grigg

I agree. My first thought on seeing the lines was Maroon Bells.

Amazing shot. I added it to my growing collection of mountain porn.
