If the colors are in... I am thinking of going tomorrow early-ish, maybe add a jaunt up Sneffles (afternoon if weather holds, or Sunday AM), crash someplace, back to Denver Sunday morning, via a route with photo ops... I have an extra seat in my truck if anybody needs a long-but-quickie weekend getaway.

I drove over it Saturday and it had barely even a hint of change. Maybe a few small pockets. I'm sure there is plenty more color by now, but definitely nowhere near peak. The most color I saw in the drive from Denver was around Monarch Pass and Sawatch area, followed by stuff closer to the front range.

Status quo for Dallas Divide. 9/15 a.m., barely a hint of any change. Further south on 145 toward Telluride is about 20% changing.

Lots of leaf-peepers this morning on Kebler. Pretty much peaking close to Crested Butte right now.

Here is a view from Lizard Head Pass September 12. As others have pointed out, blazing aspen or scrub oak colors have been lacking in the San Juans. It can only get better in this range.

drove over kebler today on my way back to CB from fruita and there were a ton of people out. Still lots of green on the western side, but I'm thinking this coming week and the week after that should be prime.
