It's a tough job, but someone has to photograph the mountain. www.MtPrinceton.org

Those are gorgeous photos! Can I see this splendor if I were to drive up to the Bierstadt TH? Is it on the way?

Love that pic with the fall colors and the snow cap. Thanks for sharing!

Yep! If you to up there from Georgetown you'll run into it. I took both of these at the Clear Lake Campground that you can find on google maps to find exactly where it is. It's on the right as you go up..and it's after that hydro plant or project or whatever it is. Also, you can't drive into the campground, but there are a couple pull offs nearby that you can take advantage of. Just walk around, walk into the woods a bit, and you'll have some great color!!!!

I want my parents to see how beautiful the mountains can be in the fall. We've always gone to RMNP in the fall but after seeing the Leadville area changing last year, I know there are way better places to take pictures of the aspens. Trying to decide if we should go for a drive up to Guanella Pass or go more toward Buena Vista. Buena Vista does not seem to be quite at its peak right now though.

I know it's a lot farther drive, but I think the 2 most beautiful drives in Colorado for fall colors is kebler pass and Dallas Divide/Last Dollar Rd.

The Dallas Divide is sublime in the fall.

Does anybody know if the Dallas Divide (or the other side of Sneffles toward Ouray) is changing yet? Looked like last weekend somebody said it hadn't even started yet? Long drive to come up empty. :)

If the colors are in... I am thinking of going tomorrow early-ish, maybe add a jaunt up Sneffles (afternoon if weather holds, or Sunday AM), crash someplace, back to Denver Sunday morning, via a route with photo ops... I have an extra seat in my truck if anybody needs a long-but-quickie weekend getaway.
