Waterfall Pics

Post by paul109876 »

We just went to the smokies this last weekend to get away and took several waterfall pics.
I would love to see what others have captured.

Try waking up on the right side of the grass- that's a good place to start

I work a lot of hours so I don't have to sleep outside and so I can go on vacation and be outside.

Nice picture! I don't currently have any to share, but i have always enjoyed the waterfalls of the Smokies! My grandparents own a cabin down there and it is a fun place to explore.

Thanks, that was my 1st time there. Living in Indiana the only place to hike is in the southern part of the state at a grand altitude of 1000 ft above sea level.
We went up to Clingmans Dome and hiked a very small section of the AT over to the next couple of summits.
It surpirsed me the number of people that had trouble with the 1/2 mile paved walkway up to the look out tower. I saw a couple of folks give up and turn around.

Gatlinburg is okay if you like to do the tourist shops. Not for me, although I am guilty of taste testing at the Ole Smokey Moonshine distillery.

I spent a week in the Smokies back in May of 03 and while I have a ton of photos the camera I had at the time sucked! I remember the huge amounts of rain and the super high humidity! I hiked to Mt. Le Conte lodge that a was cool rainy foggy trip and also spent some time on the App trail. Clingmans dome was cool, I also remember seeing people not make it half way up the dome? Definitely a trip I plan to do again! I added a couple photos of the my trip, the sunsets were awesome.
