Re: Sunrise or Sunset
This isn't quite the same as what everyone else has posted, but my friend put this together just recently. The scenes are from all over Colorado...I thought it was pretty awesome.

Re: Sunrise or Sunset
I enjoyed the past four days in the Lone Eagle Cirque. I picked up some 4x5 rectangular neutral gradient filters and a lens-mount filter holder prior to packing in. The filters are the classic way to hold back the bright sky from blowing out in a scene with high dynamic range such as sunrise and sunset. I probably should have practiced with them at home before packing in but I guess nothing beats real world experience. Another trip to the cirque for more practice will be needed...

A few more...
Daylight fades from the west ridge of Shoshoni Peak. Lone Eagle relflected in Mirror Lake at sunset. Sunset in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Love this photo of Lone Eagle. I've been considering investing in some grad filters as well. Did you use a 1 stop filter for this shot?kimo wrote:I enjoyed the past four days in the Lone Eagle Cirque.
