Re: Sunrise or Sunset
Not in Colorado, but a nice sunset picture I took above the clouds from the summit of Denali this past June.

Re: Sunrise or Sunset
Kiefer, that Sunset on Tenerife (Canary Islands) shot is really sweet!
Re: Sunrise or Sunset
Me too. Compared to sunrise, the light at sunset seems softer and lingers for longer as it cascades through warm hues of color before darkening.Kiefer wrote:I think I prefer sunset!
I enjoyed a good sunset recently on the Gore Range.

Sunrise, Turista Ridge Road, RMNP

Yes it is. I was camping the evening before my first hike into the Gore Range. I studied maps looking for a good vantage on sunset that wouldn't require a long hike or drive. And did that small bet pay off. I can't think of a better introduction to the exquisite joys of the Gore than that sunset.yorksman wrote:Kimo this has to be off Shrine Pass right?
And George, those are some cool pics. That first one could be taken from some hyper-surreal Dario Argento remake of The Birds.
Re: Sunrise or Sunset
Returned to Shrine Pass and the Gore this past weekend. Parked at the pass, hiked through the trees. And was treated to another great sunset.
