Hi Llamaman,

Yes, Magnum420 is correct, the white flowers are called Marsh Marigolds - here is a link to more info about that flower:

I believe the blue flowers are Sky Pilots - did you find them above timberline? There is a very similar "polemonium" which is found lower - called Jacob's Ladder -more info at:

Llamaman, As Magnum420 said the first is Marsh Marigold, the second is Sky Pilot. Here are some Kings Crown from over the 4th in the San Juans.

These are a few from Yankee Boy Basin Monday July 11th after HRH.

Flowers are late this year in the SJ's but will be peaking in the next week or two.

Just discovered this thread! I have taken to photographing flowers on my hikes recently. So far I've seen pretty much the same stuff throughout my front range day hikes at low elevations. I look forward to discovering more diversity later this summer. The following are all from Green Mountain Park.
