A lot of varieties are slow to come up (or buried under snow), but I managed to capture a few at relatively lower altitudes in the last few days.

Your photos are lovely. May I respectfully suggest that your photo titled "Bistort and Boles" be renamed "Chokecherry and Aspen Eyes"?

Thanks for the kind words and suggestion (whether just rhetorical or otherwise). Tell you what. Since it's already printed as such.....I will leave it. But I like the interpretation and is probably more accurate since it seems the bistort flower looks very similar to chokecherry....but after some research one key difference (other than the dark fruit) is that the chokecherry is a taller plant like this one seems to be. Glad you mentioned this and I will know next time what to name it. Nice job recognizing the distinction.

Outstanding pictures. I've caught myself taking almost as many flower power shots as mountain shots...funny how that works. Wish I knew more names of the flowers...
