Thanks. I give all the credit to the scenery......that's what inspires me. It's a glorious climb and I hope you have good weather.

Not meager at all, Mark Milburn. Great work. All five images are haunting and abstract.

And the sheep and the needle is another fantastic image. And there are many more in this thread.

Llamaman, I missed some of the responses on this thread, including your question. No, I do not have B&W in mind when taking a photo. B&W happens at home, when the lights are down low.

I call this one Romeo and Juliet.

And the same photo without the black and white conversion.

Right on. I completely agree.

That's an awesome shot Kimo, in either format.

Fine job, as usual.

Thank you, Greg!

I feel the color version brings out more of the romance, and the black and white conveys more of the tragedy. After more time in PP, the B&W should be printable. I want to make a 13x19 for my office at work. I really like the image from a great trip that I shared with my girlfriend. The image is a reminder that even in death (and I use that metaphorically), love continues.

I'm bothered that I clipped the highlights in two small areas of the cloud (to the left of the tree and above it). The blown highlight is most visible on my TN panel but also shows on my IPS panel. I'll have to concentrate on those areas. Or maybe not.

And if anyone is wondering...Romeo and Juliet can be found on the south slope of Mt. Silverheels, a mountain made famous by the romance and tragedy of Silverheels.

I don't know that I would have seen that if you hadn't mentioned it. It just looked dramatic and part of the cloud movement.

I am often drawn to the B/W format, but I like the color version better here I think.

Great shot. I've come to expect nothing less...
