Best of 2010 Scenes

2010 was a great year for me mountaineering wise with a lot of free time to get out! I was blessed with being able to see some amazing scenes this year. Check out my annual slideshow with music of the best scenes of the year. Best trips in no particular order:

1) Vestal Basin- got to do Wham Ridge with Hoot, Dave, and Emily for Hoot's centennial finisher!
2) Ruby Basin 13ers- My first time to the area. Pigeon and Turret was a blast!
3) Snow climbs- Lots of fun ones with the highlight being 13er T5. We waited out the weather and were rewarded with a very aesthetic climb.
4) 3 trips to Utah- had my first taste of canyoneering this year and it was a lot of fun.
5) Winter 14ers- Highlights were Kit Carson, Missouri, and an attempt of Snowmass.
6) Lots of low peak adventures- Pretty fun to make up your own routes on obscure peaks

Great photos Kevin - you had quite a year!

And I was happy to join you on a few of the easier ones... Lookout Mt & Point 7740 in March, Cascade Mt in June and Tuckaway (aka EP finisher redux) in November - along with the seven Park summits we did last December - if you ever need a reference as a climbing buddy I will give you a glowing review!

Here's to a shiny new year filled with high summits and deep canyons, snowy peaks and desert towers - and people who really know how to appreciate them. Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words, Susan. It was fun to get out with you a few times this year, especially the Tuckaway re-finisher. You had a great year yourself! Now let's hope 2011 is fruitful in the job search category.

Congratulations on a successful 2010 campaign, Kevin, and best wishes in 2011. It was nice finally meeting up and getting a couple of peaks together down in Ruby Basin. That was definitely the highlight of the year for me.
