Right out my back window, north of Golden - the happiest blue jay I've seen since Joe Carter.

Awesome shots! I went looking for some up at goat mountain and around Golden last week and didn't find any! Great work.

Those snake pics are pretty cool. This snake bro could have blasted me while I was engrossed in a rock specimen. I couldn't hear him due to the waterfall. I moved away before taking a crappy picture. All in all, my favorite snake to date.

If you've been up to Blue Lake you've probably seen the goats. While I was in my tent watching this guy, he took an interest in me. He barely touched me and I fell over like a feather while he turned his back and walked away. Holy $h**!

The great basin gopher snake can be found on Colorado's western slope.
