How do they plow 4wd roads anyway, other than "very carefully"?
So pleas'd at first the towering Alps we try,
Mount o'er the vales, and seem to tread the sky,
Th' increasing prospects tire our wand'ring eyes,
Hills peep o'er hills, and Alps on Alps arise!

Bulldozers. You know those tracked equipment with big blades out front. Very effective for road construction and maintenance.

I was thinking more of how you'd plow a 4wd road without catching the plow blade on something.

i know cottonwood and kebler are graded pretty well, i don't see them having much trouble plowing. Kebler is usually plowed up to the irwin Y through thanksgiving before winter really kicks in.

Kebler and Cottonwood are both well maintained 2WD roads that you could drive a Lambourgini over.

Both get lots of snow though and would be super low on the plow list even if the FS would bother to do it.
