So as Bill gets the list page going, I guess I'm the self appointed defacto keeper of the unofficial "official" list. Here is what I have so far:

Here is were we stand:

Arizona,
Colorado, x?
Rhode Island,
Hawaii,
Louisiana,
Massachussets, x2!
Michigan,
Missouri,
Nebraska,

On Deck for next Weekend (June 1 start):
Texas,
NC

Let me know if I've missed anything or counted something in the wrong column.

Alaska and Washington will be tough for obvious reasons. I'd be willing to provide base camp support for Rainer but I'm not fully ready for glacier travel yet.

My husband and I are going to climb Rainier, either this weekend or at the end of June. I'll post again when I know for sure, but that one is covered! I wish I could say the same for Denali - some day, but not this summer...

If you have completed a US State High Point in honor of David, the new page is ready for use...

US High Points in Honor of the TalusMonkey

Please PM me if you have any problems using the new page.

Caroline, if you or anyone else happens to have the dates that David hit his high points, I will add it to the system.

I only found two trip reports of his in the forum.

Hey Bill,

I just added a high point and noticed it wasn't possible to edit it. I botched it slightly ... just two days off for the day. Not a big deal but I'd edit it if I could.

Yeah, I made a note on the top of the page about future edit capabilities. Until I get that done, just PM me with your edit(s) and I'll make sure it's done.

This is what I know:

Mt. Sunflower, KS: April 27, 2007
White Butte, ND: April 28, 2007
Guadalupe Peak, TX: March 26, 2006
Black Mesa, OK: March 27, 2006

I definitely know he did Wheeler Peak, NM in November of 2005- either on the 19th or 20th- I'll find out which one and let you know.

I don't know about Harney Peak, SD yet (he's hit this one a few times) or Panorama Point, NE- I think I can figure them out. Does anyone else know about these 2 highpoints?

I updated all of the dates except for South Dakota.
