crestone peak and jenny
Jenny Saylor's mother posted on the FB page that Jenny and Jorge Gonzalez are stuck on Ceestone this evening secondary to Jorge falling/breaking his ankle? Thoughts and prayers for a warn and cozy night on the mountain and that they make it off safely tomorrow. SAR has been notified according to the FB post

Heard from my brother Bill. Jorge may have broken his ankle, SAR and Sheriff 's office had been contacted . Did not speak with him but he left a vm to tell us this . Have not heard any more for about 2 hours, and have had no replied to texts.

Wishing strength and warmth to both Jenny and Jorge as they make it off the mountain tonight. Keep those spirits high!

What a great relief! Too many rescues and recoveries already this season.

Between ~6:30 and ~8:00 a helicopter went over at least three times. I guess they dropped off a rescue crew, made the rescue, and picked them up.

Talked to these two at the trailhead about the conditions on Broken Hand Pass and the Red Gully and didn't even realize who I was talking to. Glad they made it out okay!
