Missing Climber on Maroon Bells

Post by Jcwhite »

Hey All,
I am posting on behalf of Mountain Rescue Aspen. We have a missing climber who we believe to have been on South Maroon on Thursday Morning (the 19th) (last known location). Our missing climber is 6'6" and 190 lbs, Blonde Hair, Blue eyes. If anyone on here has seen or heard from someone matching that description please call Pitkin County Dispatch at 970-920-5310 and ask to be connected to Deputy George Kramer.

Wishing for a positive outcome...
“There are two kinds of climbers: those who climb because their heart sings when they’re in the mountains, and all the rest.” - Alex Lowe

"There have been joys too great to describe in words, and there have been griefs upon which I cannot dare to dwell; and with those in mind I say, 'Climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste, look well to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.'" - Edward Whymper

I am praying for the health and safety of this young man, and the same for the brave search and rescue folks. Maroon Bells is a great place, and I hope he is returned safely and in short order.

I'll keep him in my thoughts...hoping for the best, and that the Bells are feeling forgiving this week.
