It says in the article that S&R is requesting help. Anyone know who to contact?

Search for hiker on Holy Cross

From 9News:

Instead of mentioning that he isn't carrying a cell phone, I think the article would have been more pertinent to mention if he is carrying a SPOT device, or even a GPS.

I hope this turns out well...

Reading that story sends a shiver down my spine as I was up on Holy Cross on the 3rd. Don't think I saw any solo backpackers. The Bermuda Triangle strikes again.

Hope by some miracle he makes it out ok.

I could live without that channel's spooky "lost hiker" graphic. We need a big dose of Edward R. Murrow: "Keep it brief and get your facts straight."

Wow...I pray he's ok. Holy Cross was my first 14er and my father's as well, and we had to call in S&R to get my father out of there. I really hope he makes it out ok...

This report mentions he does have a GPS, and gives a photo of him: http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_16309687" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We did not think of the great open plains, the beautiful rolling hills, and winding streams... as "wild". Only to the white man was nature a "wilderness".

Sounds like he was doing the Cross Creek/Fall Creek Loop and may or may not have been attempting Mt. of the Holy Cross.

I was thinking the same thing about Holy Cross. Seems like a LOT of folks have gone missing up there over the years. It's a little bit creepy when you think about it.
