Whatever happened to the "S" scale with rating ski descents? Back when I used to ski it was the hip new rating system, but you don't hear about it much anymore.
I'm slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.

S system became D system similar to when 5.10 became 5.10 a, b, c and d. More distinction was needed for the upper end of the scale and less distinction between 3 degree slopes with terrain traps and 4 degree slopes with safe runouts.
