After watching a bunch of backcountry ski videos on youtube.. I just realized you can't make a ski video without adding really crappy jamband music in the background.

Although I was watching LL/Berthoud Pass videos so it must be the broville influence..

Man, Crested is getting hammered!

And, I think they need a bigger (read:taller) snowstake!

Loveland pass was pretty good today. With windloading, it was close to 2 feet of snow in the trees. Had to watch for an occasional tree trunk or a rock, but really not bad.

I heard the same thing about Berthoud. But did they get 5 runs in? :) Loveland looked pretty good from stability standpoint today. It really gets skied out fast though.

Berthoud was just like the nkan's pics from Loveland. Super deep. There were some slides however and some of the new snow that drifted into the trees wasn't really bonded to anything so it was prone to "sluff" almost all the way to the ground. Wasn't propagating but still sketchy.

Could you please divulge where on BP it was excellent? I went up for a beta look on sunday am and it still looked fairly boney, all around, even after the 9 inches. So I went to the sure spot in butlers gultch and got waist deep turns on good pitch. Luckily it was nice and early so we beat most of the crowds.. Snow felt fairly stable, minimal settling or shooting cracks. It did get warm on sunday though....
