Jordan White, Caleb Wray talk at CSU, 11/30

Postby telejb » Mon Nov 28, 2011 9:53 pm

Wed, 11/30, 7pm, TILT building 221

From Alaska to Mexico, Mongolia to Argentina, Russia to Chile...Jordan White, Caleb Wray, and Anton Sponar have skied in quite a few places. On Wednesday, November 30th, they'll stop by Fort Collins to present a slideshow about their recent summit of Denali as well as the rest of their adventures skiing all over the world.

At age 23, CSU Alumnus Jordan White became the youngest person to summit all 54 Colorado 14ers and ski back down them. Caleb Wray is a published adventure photographer, intensely passionate about the outdoors. Anton Sponar was a distinguished alpine racer at the University of Colorado who has taught skiing and works as a mountain guide both here in Colorado as well as in Chile.

Please join us when these three adventurers visit CSU to share tales, photos, and perhaps some insight into what drives them to succeed at a sport that few even attempt.

This is a FREE presentation and anyone interested is welcome to attend.

I wanted to go to their presentation last Thanksgiving at Lafayette, but couldn't. Would love to go to this one - but won't on such short notice. Will there be any more?

Sorry for the short notice. I'm somewhat surprised that these guys haven't been invited to give this talk more often, but I guess it's also kinda tough to get too many of them in when you're busy traveling the world and gettin after it. Maybe they'll show up in the Denver or Springs area sometime soon, but I couldn't tell ya for sure.

If you're trying to plan on making it to more talks like this in the future in Fort Collins, look up the CSU Outdoor Club. They're lining up a small handful of notable speakers to come give presentations in the spring...maybe you'll be able to make it to one or two of those.
