I just saw this info and thought I'd pass it along. Free skiing on your birthday, too.

Ooh! I like this. I've never been to Crested Butte before. They've been getting a lot of snow over there too so I may have to plan on heading out there... Thanks for sharing!! :D

Only red lady/teocalli and peachtree lifts will be open on the 23rd, most of the big snows have been falling in the backcountry, but it will still be fun because it's free for all :D

CB used to offer free lift tickets for each night you stayed at a participating hotel in the month of December. I assume the are not longer doing this, but if anyone has details I would love to know...

They change up their special deals all the time. http://www.skicb.com/cbmr/butte-specials.aspx

The $200 gas credit and 4th night free seems like a decent deal for people driving.

4 or 5 years ago they had ski free no matter what. No lodging required just show up and ski. Myself and 4 buddies got a hotel room for 2 nights and caught a 3 foot storm on the first weekend of December. AHHH that was a fine time. Wish they still did this.

Ajkagy, how much terrain from the red lady do you think will be available? I haven't found anything on their site that says what exactly they'll be opening... Even if it's only a couple runs, they look decently long. And it is free...

I'm going by this article

I would imagine a few green runs off of red lady and a blue run or two off of teocalli
