Snow conditions on Grays and Torreys

Postby joelmpaula » Wed Jun 08, 2011 11:16 am

I would like to ski Grays and Torreys this weekend. Has any one been up there this week. I would like to know if there is snow from Grays summit to the ridge between Grays and Torreys?

I climbed dead Dog on Sunday and skied the North Bowl between Torreys and Grays. It was one of the best corn runs I have ever done. Sunday was warm but I started skiing at 9:15 which was perfect.

Is the road skinnable or do you have to walk?

Hello All,
I skied the line last Saturday. I skied from the summit of Grays with only a little navigation around rocks. I would assume that there will be more rocks showing this weekend but you should still be able to ski from the top.
I walked up the road in my tennis shoes to the summer trailhead and then started skinning.
Enjoy your ski!!!
