Spring 14er Skiing 2011

Postby Mrwaffles989 » Tue Mar 29, 2011 1:43 am

Spring is just around the corner!! What's everyones plans for this year's corn harvest?

I'd like to get:
- Cross Couloir
- Mt. Evans/Bierstadt
- Massive
- My yearly tradition of a Dead Dog descent
- Others, depending on finances

I would like to ski at least 5 new peaks this spring. It just all depends on how much money I have at the end of my school semester. When I run out, I'm heading to Pennsylvania for a construction job. Hopefully I'll get two solid weeks of spring slayage in May before I have to return home.

Oh and anyone is welcome to join me on any of these spring excursions, if they are so inclined. Message me!

I can smell the corn ripening. Ciao

I'm up for Evans, Bierstadt and Holy Cross. Do you have some tentative dates? Weekends work best for me.
Do you have any info on the road to Evans? Its not open til Memorial Day correct? Can you ride a bike up it before then?

There's been some talk about doing Holy Cross early June.

We were all set to head down there to ski WP this Sunday until we saw that the El Diente Snotel registered 28 inches of new snow between Monday and Wednesday. Called it off as much as we didn't want to, good luck if you end up heading down, we'd love to see a conditions report...

So, with all of this snow, is the road now closed to daily snowmobile traffic?

I assume the local sled group (Nova) can't use it past May 1st?
Only SNOW will end the madness
