Any suggested dayhikes that meets these criteria?

How bad are the construction delays on 36?

Not sure if you mean Little Scraggy or Long Scraggy, but assuming you meant Long Scraggy based on the previous post...here is a report of that one.

Little scraggy is across the road. A bit rougher to ascend...mainly in trees, probably not as fun right now. (Which is why I assumed you meant Long Scraggy.)

Brainard Lake near Nederland has many beautiful scenic hikes that are easy on the knees. Downside is you must get there super early to get parking in the summer. I also like some of the trails in the vasquez mts near empire. Chief mt is near Evergreen and is a nice hike but only 3 miles. Mt. Evans in the summer from the summit lake trailhead is doable. You can avoid the descent if you and a friend each take a car
