Stony Pass

Post by pkripper »

Is this area worth a day trip from Lake City? Any class 2-3 peaks. I will have my 12yr old with me.

I think it's worth it. Though this year may not be as scenic due to lack of a snow pack, but this picture was taken after short hike from the pass a couple summers ago. The Grenadiers in the distance.

The Colorado Trail runs through there as well, and there are several lakes to fish at or hike around. And of course, mountains abound.
