Boulder Green Mountain (not the Lakewood Green Mountain) has great views from the summit.

yep, love that one. Also love First Flatiron then back down the Gregory Canyon side, and Bear Mtn.

I like the South Boulder Peak and Bear Peak combo from Shadow Canyon.

South Boulder Peak, Bear Peak, and Green Mountain is also fun.

The First Flatiron is a great, quick hike, especially if you follow the trail all the way to the back and scramble up to the ledge about 20 feet up. Great views. Combine that with a hike over to Royal Arch, which is another Boulder treasure.

With more time, Bear Peak from Chautauqua via Mesa Trail and Fern Canyon, and with even more time, follow the trail off the back side of Bear, connect to Green Bear, hit the summit of Green, and then return down past Amphitheatre. Then proceed straight to the porch at the Chautauqua dining hall for a Flat Tire ale.

Enjoy.

Anything in the Boulder watershed. Making sure to drink a lot of water before I hike there.

The Trifecta! Climbing S Boulder and Bear Peaks with Green Mountain is my consolation on weekends when I can't go for a fourteener. Some folks add on a traverse over Flagstaff Mountain and Mount Sanitas, but that is more than I am usually looking for.

Bear peak via bear canyon and the west ridge is a favorite of mine. I usually descend fern canyon for a little variation. Microspikes were very helpful a few weeks ago, not sure what kind of melting they have had since. Also they had bear canyon marked with some mountain lion activity when I hiked it last, just an fyi.

That's what I call it too

Also, I didn't know you could get Beer at Chautauqua. Good to know.

I'm also a big fan of North Foothills Park and the ridge loop there. There are no trees so you can see very clearly in all directions, even though the altitude gain is only about 850 feet. Every time I have been there, I have encountered the herd of mule deer that live in the park (about 10) and graze right next to the trail. It is where I go to practice elevation gain, since it has a very steep stair section.
