I snowshoed up to Lake Isabelle a couple weeks ago in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. Not too much elevation change until you get close to the lake. A lot of wind crusted snow which made for pretty quick travel for most of the trip. With the closure of the road into Brainard Lake, it's about a 10.5 mile trip, but the first and last 2 miles can be on asphalt/packed snow if you choose. Good scenery and we didn't pass anyone once we passed Brainard Lake.
