Ptarmigan Hill summit hut?

Post by JeffR »

(This is the peak SW of Vail Pass).

Anyone know the name of this hut? I can't find squat for info about it.

Fowler/Hilliard Hut

Fowler/Hilliard is actually below Resolution Mountain. There's nothing on top of Ptarmigan Hill except for some radio towers of some kind.

Edit: Did some digging and found this. Looks like this is what's on top:

Don't think I want to stay in that!

Yeah, guess that's a small step below Motel 6.
Thx.
