Can anyone tell me how much snow is left on Mt. Sopris?

Seeing it from quite far away recently, it looked like it was still pretty snowy. Maybe there was about 50% of it that looked dry.

I believe the standard summer route up the ridge line should be mostly free of snow - you should still be able to take the winter route to the top and ski if you were looking to. Not sure how sun-cupped it is. If you take the summer route - the section from the lake to the ridge line is tree covered and will still most likely have a bunch of snow - I bet there are tracks the way up you can follow in.

There are no continous lines of snow. Looks mostly dry to me.
I will try to post a picture this evening or tomorrow AM.
I'm thinking of going soon.

I called the FS on 7/5 and was told the road to the TH was dry and the hike to the lakes was dry. Half of the campsites at the lakes were closed due to snow and there was snow all the way to the East summit. I too would like to see a picture as I am planning to go next week.

YEONDERIN beat me to it.
But here is a foto as promised, taken last evening.
North-west aspect of Sopris taken from HY82 just east of 133.
The weather has seen violent late afternoon/sunset thunderstorms here
in the Crystal River Valley for over a week now, often lingering till past midnight.
I'm loving it!
It's been pretty awesome for a Weather hound.
Fairly predictable climbing weather,
just seems the SHTF much later in the day.

Thanks for the pics. The Western summit looks clear as well as the ridge between the two summits. Rain is always good for destroying snow. As soon as we get a break in the weather, I think I will head out.
