Hey all,
I'm looking to take my pup up towards Clarks Peak in the Rawah Wilderness this weekend. Has anyone been in the area recently? I'm wondering about snow on and off trails, Blue Lake trail to be more specific. Any pictures would be appreciated, Thanks!

I have partial info for you. I was skiing in the American Lakes basin last week. Tons of snow left up there and on the Diamond peaks. The Joe Wright snotel gage still shows 30 inches of snow and 18 inches of SWE. The Blue Lake TH looked snow free when I drove by last week, but I'd be shocked if you don't at least encounter some major drifts along the trail to the lake.

Awesome! thanks! What do the peaks look like above treeline? Are the ridges covered much?

Generally, it still looked like winter coverage up there. Some ridges were wind-scoured, leeward sides were buried. That was a week ago and it's melting fast, but there's still going to be plenty of snow. I didn't get a good look at Clark Peak.JohnWilliams wrote:Awesome! thanks!
