Looking South - Federal Blvd & 84th
On the horizon I see Pikes Peak directly south, but to the right (west) of Pikes, I see another prominent peak(s) silhoutted against the skyline. Does anyone know what peak(s) this is? It has an interesting shape.

Devils' Head?
EDIT: Does it look like the first picture in this thread?

You're probably looking at Sentinel Point. It's a fun peak, but not ranked. I've snowshoed it a few times, and the top is a great class 3 scramble. The conical shape makes it easily identifiable.

I think you're looking at Devil's Head.

OK... two against one, and I'm pretty far south (the Springs) and have no idea what you guys are looking at - and I know rijaca knows his peaks! He and Dr. No are probably right. Here's the link to that peak on LoJ: Devils Head.
Looks like a very popular place...

And LoJ probably doesn't really convey the scale of its popularity.susanjoypaul wrote:OK... two against one, and I'm pretty far south (the Springs) and have no idea what you guys are looking at - and I know rijaca knows his peaks! I assure you it's climbed by thousands of people every summer who have never hear of LoJ or probably ever climbed/hiked up another mountain in their lives.
Lots of solitude up there in the winter though once Rampart Range Road is closed.

I wasn't referring to the list of folks who've climbed it on that page, but rather the comments in the trip report: Trip Report. Hakes notes "Expect gigantic crowds from Memorial Day through whenever." That's enough to keep me away :DDoug Shaw wrote:And LoJ probably doesn't really convey the scale of its popularity.

Thanks all! Yes, Dr No, that 's the peak I'm seeing from Federal (based on the picture from the other thread). It really stands out from that vantage point. I drive that route eveyday and it's been bugging me - can't believe I haven't asked sooner.
