Forum Layout Changed?

Postby Matt Lemke » Thu Apr 19, 2012 1:25 pm

What happened? I don't think I am too big a fan of this change but I could get used to it

Yes, I am seeing a change also, maybe a temporary change as work is being done? It's hard to read and follow in this format...

Yup, new style. I made the changes because there's better functionality, some of which I plan on using in other parts of the site.

I was typing up an announcement thread but my Comcast connection croaked before I could post it.

Bill recently threatened an update, after he sent out a mime asking, "How can I improve this forum?"

I think it is here now.

FYI, if you prefer the old forum style, you can change back in the User Control Panel (Board Settings).

"prosilver" is the old format
"Ultra Blue" is the new one

But don't be shocked if the old one goes away someday since I don't want to have to maintain them both. :)

I don't mind the new layout, it looks good. As with all things, change takes a while to get used to.

Don't worry, I'm going to change it to something completely different in a week or two...

Kidding!

I like the style. I just can't get a fix on how everything is sorted?

By thread topic creation? No.
By latest poster reply date/time? No.
By the most number of replies? No.

Not sure how it is displaying for you but your topic/thread sorting can be customized on your profile... In User Control Panel, click Board Preferences and then click the Edit Display Options button located on the 2nd line of buttons.
