typos or inconsistencies

Postby Eric1 » Thu Aug 13, 2009 3:48 pm

The Gore Range description says this
Mt. Powell (13,575') is its highest peak. ... Eagle's Nest Wilderness (named after Eagle's Nest, 13,901'),

All peaks (13,000 feet and above) in the range sorted descending by elevation:

13,580 Mt. Powell
13,420 Eagles Nest

hmm.. is Mt. Powell is 13575 or 13580 ?
Eagle's Nest is how high?

here is what i find on 13ers.com
Mt. Powell 13,580'
Eagles Nest 13,420'
"Mt. Silverthorne" 13,357'

I hope this doesn't cause major concern. 14ers.com is a great web site with tons of useful information.

Listsofjohn.com, where I go for statistical overload and envy, has Eagles Nest at 13,420', and Mount Powell at 13,580'.

Mt. Powell has been listed at 13,580' for as long as I can remember. It may now be even higher due to the most recent re-surveying of the State.

Bill, while we're discussing typos; in the trailhead pulldown where you have each peak listed and below it you have the applicable THs; The Crestones is mispelled as Creastones.

Is this the page you mean?
http://colorado14ers.home.att.net/

That's the driving estimate page that was created by a 14ers.com member. I can't change that page because it's on his site.

Thanks!!

Yes that's it; didn't notice the separate web address, but makes sense since it's not in MIddlebrook-esque in styling. Thanks!
