14ers.com down this morning

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Wed Jul 15, 2009 9:57 am

Sorry for the problems this morning! The web server on the site was down for over an hour and a half. Verio (our web hosting co.) finally figured out that there was a corrupt executable file in Apache (web server software).

Should be all set for now. Geez, I'm glad I was home this morning.

Whew...your back up! This was like starting the morning without my cup of coffee!

Now I realize how addicted I am. Yikes!

Whew, for a while there, I was afraid I might have to work this morning. Thanks for averting that disaster.

Yet somehow I usually make it back to the car safely; and oftentimes, so do the people that I'm with.

I'm glad it didn't happen on a Friday when so many people are gathering info for the weekend!
If it reoccurs this Friday, my wife can deal with it. :D

I had the same thought Iguru. Now we can get back to real important things.

They just rebooted Apache (web server) again, so they must have found something else that needed to be "fixed."

I thought maybe Rustic was posting another article and the server committed suicide.
Glad to hear the server is ok.
