TR troubles

Postby Dancesatmoonrise » Fri Feb 08, 2013 9:18 pm

Hi Bill,

Several difficulties attempting to put together a new TR tonight. Let me see if I can describe these clearly.

-When using the size 24 font, I have to put an extra space between lines, or else it puts one line on top of the other (overlaps by half a line.)
-The Header function does not appear to be working.

These issues were not evident when doing the last TR about a week ago.

Thanks!

Oh, man, you are good! I'm working on a few things tonight.

I'm in the process of adding a bunch of new image formatting options (left/right/center image placement, custom sizes, etc.) and had to make some style changes which screwed with a few TR font selections.

I should have them sorted out soon, but the headers should be working. That "overlapping" of larger fonts is messing with me but I'll get it. In the meantime, you might try not putting a RETURN in the middle of the text your making bigger. That seems to be the hangup right now.

Thanks, Jim, and again sorry for the hassle.

Jim, could you PM me the TR id number (in the URL when you're previewing it) and I'll take a closer look in case I missed something?

I'll try to get that font thing finished tomorrow...

 Yeah, just happened to catch you at work I'm afraid! So behind on TRs right now...

No hurry, though. I'll just check things in the morning and see what we got.

Will be in touch.

PS - like the idea of image placement flexibility!

Update:

Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) was failing to display photos on a report with many photos. I was able to replicate the problem in IE10 by emulating IE7 but there's nothing I can do on the TR pages to prevent this from happening in IE7. So, if you're using IE7 and images aren't displaying properly, you might want to upgrade your browser. Using Firefox, Jim was able to see the photos.

You know, since all the changes have been taking place over at SP and recently, with the trip repots here, I've since come to agree with Bob, Matt and you Bill about the 'dinosaur' called IE.
I've switched to Safari (didn't like Chrome) and haven't had any troubles.

Now the next question is why am I still using a PC instead of a Mac?
Reports look great, Bill! 8)
