Bells conditions
I'm planning to do the 4 Pass Loop tomorrow. Does anyone know how the trail conditions are vis a vis shoe sucking mud ? Never having done the trail I'm not sure how much it would be influences by rain.

Re: Bells conditions
Ran it last Sunday. The trail was in good shape. Only a couple of muddy spots. The worst were between W. Maroon and Frigid Air, but not a problem at all. That being said, it poured on our way out Sunday evening, and mud was an issue.

Ran it today. It's muddy in a lot of places, but fortunately just the annoying slippery mud, not the one that sticks to your shoes and makes them 10 pounds heavier.

Do you have a recommendation as to whether one should do it clockwise or counterclockwise?jomagam wrote:Ran it today. It's muddy in a lot of places, but fortunately just the annoying slippery mud, not the one that sticks to your shoes and makes them 10 pounds heavier.
Thanks!
Also, how many creek crossings are there that do not have a bridge or logs?
