Ski/summits near Aspen?

Post by Voodoo302 »

So I might be in Aspen over the 4th, I know there's a ton to do around there, but is anything still in to ski? Alternatively, are any of the 14ers around there snow-free enough to do without getting TOO technical? I can handle an axe and crampons but I'm not looking to rope up.

Looking at any moderate/heavy moderate ski descents, Pyramid, anything else that can be done in a day from Aspen.

Thanks in advance

Skied Grizzly's north couloir last Saturday and was very nice. A little debris in the lower half of the couloir, but skier's right was smoother and creamier. Still got close to 2,000' vert of a ski descent. Bet it still may be ok for this coming weekend.
