Looking for a partner/group for some Elk 14ers (1/17-1/21)

Post by NateC »

I had a partner for this trip that is probably going to fall through, and I'd really hate to have to bail, so I'm looking for a backup. Anyone up for a winter adventure?

I'll be in the the Elk range 1/16-1/22 and would love to hit up some 14ers. I've been looking at Capitol, Snowmass, and Castle/Conundrum combo. I know it is super last minute, but let me know if you're interested and we can get the discussion going.

I've done Longs in the winter and summer, Evans/Bierstadt combo, and Grays/Torreys combo days. I've done a bit of ice climbing, about 2 years of rock climbing (can lead 5.9s). I have all of my own personal gear and nearly enough for a group. This includes a rope, cams, nuts, etc. I've got a lot of endurance; I just competed in the Worlds Toughest Mudder in November, completed 4 laps (40 miles) in 12 hours. Jeez, I feel like I'm on a dating site trying to sell myself :)
