Sherman's summit ridge usually protects you from the wind until you get near the top and without a whole lot of snow lately you'll be able to start your climb higher on the road than you could on Quandary. (unless you're playing the 3K game or you're thinking about the west ridge) Be careful of cornices building on the ridge from the storm that's coming.

Quandary is very exposed to the west wind and my experience is that once you break out of the timber you should be prepared for a long slog into the headwind all the way up the ridge to the summit. It will be safe from avy issues on the ridge.

Without knowing what the storm will bring, I would guess you'd have an easier time climbing Sherman.
