Event on Quandary on 9/11

Post by mtgirl »

Just wanted to put out a warning that Quandary will be even more crowded than normal on Saturday, 9/11. The annual 9/11 Firefighter 14er Challenge is taking place at that time. It's an event that raises money for the Fallen Firefighters Fund. The trailhead will be very crowded between 5:30-6:30 AM for registration. The hike starts at 6:46 AM - the moment the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center. Another wave of firemen getting off working the night shift will start at 9:30 AM - followed by a BBQ lunch.
