My group and I backpacked in the Massive/Elbert (with some summits as well ) wilderness over Labor Day weekend. The aspen and other leafy friends are really starting to yellow. From what I saw it was around 50-50 green-yellow. That beautiful gold aspen glow shouldn't be too much farther down the road .
EDIT: I should rephrase. When I say 50-50 I mean the leaves are about half yellow and half green. Not whole trees.
Are the Aspen turning in the Sawatch yet?

I camped by elbert on friday and didn't see much going on. I would imagine it will really start turning in the next week or two.
