Conundrum Couloir
Curious what the couloir is looking like, I was told that it tends to hold snow late in the season. Also, does anyone know if the scary-looking cornice has dropped yet?

Re: Conundrum Couloir
Here's a shot from Tuesday, 7/6/10. You can see 2 climbers in the couloir. I was there for July turns but the conditions were thin. I'm worried about my turn options for August...
The snow at the top of the saddle is mostly melted out.
Conditions on the lower headwall.

Another photo of the couloir. I did not get a chance to talk with the 2 who were climbing it.

So, is it back open again?
Baumgara, looking for a partner for this? I may be up to it next Tuesday if the forecast holds - which is currently saying mostly sunny for early/mid next week.

It looks crappy for skiing. It also held snow year round last year.

Sorry Dancesatmoonrise, the work boss wants me working during the week, I'll probably hit it up this weekend.Dancesatmoonrise wrote:Baumgara, looking for a partner for this? I may be up to it next Tuesday if the forecast holds - which is currently saying mostly sunny for early/mid next week.
