It's our second year of 14ers, and wanted to get started early. I'm assuming there's still quite a bit of snow. Would snow shoes be needed?

Was on the East Ridge a week and a half ago and snowshoes are not needed. However, Microspikes would be very helpeful

I was up the East Ridge on Memorial day and didn't bring snowshoes. I had a late start, so the snow was pretty soft going up and coming down. I postholed only a couple times. Start early and you should be fine.
