Do you need snowshoes for Yale?
For anyone who has been up Yale in the last week or so, will I need snowshoes if I go up this Friday 5/21? If not, how much postholing needs to be done on the standard route (Denny Creek)? Is there any real avy danger from the trail if I'm not skiing? Thanks!

There is a TR posted of last Sunday. They didn't use snowshoes but others have reported needing them. I am climbing Yale Friday too and might be adding a couple other members. I am also coming out of the Springs if you want to join up.

Didn't need them on Sun, but they could have been useful, the snow was deep enough. I carried mine, but never found conditions bothersome enough to put them on.
