Quandary Sunday 4/25

Post by Mindy »

Considering climbing Quandary Sunday. Do I need crampons for this one? My experience in the snow is minimal but I am familiar with this trail (almost made it up summer '09). I am not really a newbie, but am getting back into it after focusing on other adventures for a few years. Thoughts on weather would also be appreciated given the snow. Thank you!

Yes. Note the weather link at the top of the home page. You can check for each of the fourteeners, many of the towns around the state or key in a place name or zip code. It uses the National Weather Service page for its source. One of the many great enhancements Bill has added to this site.

My wife, a flatlander friend, and I plan on giving the East ridge a go on Sunday as well (minus the skis). We'll probably get to the TH around 5:00 or a bit before. If anyone Is looking for a modestly paced group to go with, drop me a PM.
