Princeton for Thanksgiving

Post by Summit Assassin »

I'll be in town (Salida) from Wednesday through Saturday and was wondering about the conditions on Princeton. Did anyone go up this past weekend? How's the road and trail? Snowshoes?

I went up on the 13th and boy what a slog. I didn't summit due to the howling wind and the fresh powder. Snowshoes are a must. There was another hiker who just went up a few days before i did. He posted a trip report with some pics. Don't want to discourage you but be ready for a long day with snowshoes strapped to ya for quite a few hours.
