I DID find all of those things but I'm not willing to return them. Especially the stapler.

Oh well thought I'd post here and see if I could return something to someone.

Back in 1993, I lost an entire set of car keys at a campsite near Cottonwood Lake ... upon returning to the Cottonwood Creek trailhead, it really sucked to have to bust out my passenger backseat car window in order to unlock the trunk where my husband conveniently decided to leave his set of car keys on that trip (needless to say, this bad habit of his ended with this trip). You didn't happen to find my set of car keys, did ya?!?! :wft: :-s :-k
As if none of us have ever come back with a cool, quasi-epic story instead of being victim to tragic rockfall, a fatal stumble, a heart attack, an embolism, a lightning strike, a bear attack, collapsing cornice, some psycho with an axe, a falling tree, carbon monoxide, even falling asleep at the wheel getting to a mountain. If you can't accept the fact that sometimes "s**t happens", then you live with the illusion that your epic genius and profound wilderness intelligence has put you in total and complete control of yourself, your partners, and the mountain. How mystified you'll be when "s**t happens" to you! - FM

Can you offer up a hint?

Jim Davies started a similar thread in similar fashion, but inevitably had to come out and say: "I FOUND A TENT PEOPLE....."

Was it a shovel with a fiberglass handle?

As long as it wasn't a dog, we'll all sleep good tonight.

I knew someone would find Jimmy Hoffa eventually.

Not a shovel.

This is a fun game but not my intent.

Most hints would give it away. No identifying markings at all. It was found in a pretty obscure place and couldn't have been there for more than a week.
