Man lost on Elbert (Sept '08)

I know this is old news, but when after we reached the summit on our way down, exactly on the Elbert trail and colorado trail, we saw this. Now everybody know anything about him ?

Just to clarify, he went missing down in the San Juans, nowhere near Elbert... even though the sign was posted near Elbert.

I wonder what happened to him. Really sad story.

There was a confirmed sighting around Oct. 1st in the Lake City area (Crystal Lake) although I have not heard anything since...........SJ Ron
