looking for GPS on Little Bear

Postby bbain » Mon Sep 29, 2008 3:49 am

My friend Dave Boyd died on Little Bear in September this year. He always had a GPS with him. When he fell, I believe he landed about 200 feet below the ridgeline. Who knows where his GPS ended up and in how many pieces. On the off chance anyone is exploring on Little Bear and finds it there are a lot of people that would really like to have the ability to see Dave's last route and timing etc. He also had a spot on him, but that has already been recovered. It's a Garmin GPS I believe. I am sure snow will be falling soon if not already. I appreciate any feedback. Thank you. Also thank you to this group for all the help and support. Dave loved to climb 14ers and had a lot of respect for others who were also passionate about the outdoors.

There was a discussion on the location he was found here.

Based on the discussions, he fell on the middle gully (orange). There are established routes on the left and right gullies.
