Longs Peak

Postby Labman » Sun Jul 08, 2007 7:36 pm

I plan to make my fist attempt at Longs Peak this coming Saturday,
7-14-07. Does anyone know if there is still snow? Will I need any special gear? I am excited to make the climb, but wonder if I should wait a couple more weeks.

I was up Longs via the Keyhole & down by the Loft route today.
There is pretty much no more snow on the Keyhole route.
An ax or crampons would be pointless now. It is more or less
mid-summer conditions, though not 100% dry yet.
