Congrats on conquering Elbert. Those hills are alot tougher in the snow - way to persevere! Nice trip report, I enjoyed reading it.

That was a great trip report!

Your enthusiasm is inspiring!

It's a tough job, but someone has to photograph the mountain.

Great TR Nige! Consider taking the kids on the next one (mine are in their 20s and they kick my a**).

Nige, I found that truly inspirational, seeing as how my first is upcoming in July (Gray's). You may find you'll have to do Long's on the stealth, otherwise you may find a large contingent of fans waiting to climb with you. Nice website, too, but how about a pic of a typical Yorkshire landscape for all of us who may not realize how rugged Yorkshire really can be?

Thanks all for the very kind words.

I can't thank everyone on enough for the advice I've received. Hopefully soon, I'll be in a position to pay some advice back with my own wise words!

I've mentioned this before on other threads, but I'm out in CO at Christmas time and would love to go out for a few beers with you all, if possible. I was thinking somewhere along the foothills north of Denver (inc. Denver) - Longmont/Boulder/Fort Collins/etc.

Will raise a beer-related thread closely to the time!!!

Excellent report! I could feel your pain, been there/done that. How long did the recuperation take back in the Isles??

Heya rlw49,

Thanks for that.

Weirdly, I was absolutely fine the days after apart from a slight ache in my upper calves. I guess the gym work must have worked!!!

I play LOTS of football (soccer), so I guess my legs are strong anyway.

Surprised me though - I thought I was going to be in for a world of pain afterwards!
